About Second Cup Coffee Co.
Second Cup Coffee Co. began as a small kiosk in a shopping mall back in 1975, where they only sold six blends of whole bean coffee. Throughout the 70s and 80s, Second Cup Coffee quickly grew to have more than 100 cafés in Ontario, before expanding into Quebec and the rest of Canada in the 90s and 2000s. After redesigning their look in 2015, Second Cup went on to partner with California’s Pinkberry frozen yogurt in 2017, with fresh frozen yogurt now available at Second Cup cafés.
Today, Second Cup Coffee Co. is Canada’s largest Canadian specialty coffee retailer, with their coffee only made from specialty grade Arabica beans from the top 2% of the world’s coffee producers. Second Cup only works with fair trade certified coffee producers, at always looks to partner with environmentally sustainable farms and producers that are certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association. Similarly, all of Second Cup’s teas are sourced from members of the Ethical Tea Partnership, and only partner with food suppliers who are committed to preserving animal welfare during their production process.
On Second Cup’s menu you’ll find a variety of delicious hot and cold beverages, along with limited-time specialty drinks for the winter holidays like their candy cane white hot chocolate and peppermint moccaccino. They also serve smoothies made with fresh fruit and healthy ingredients like whole flax seeds and pure kale, while also providing a variety of gluten friendly, dairy-free, and vegan options. You’ll also find delicious Pinkberry frozen yogurt, along with a selection of baked goods and hot wraps, sandwiches, and pies available for breakfast and lunch.
