Soothe Your Soul at Matching Half
Matching Half is a true neighborhood gem, serving Sightglass coffee and homemade pastries with the unusual jalapeño pop tart a local hit. This is a quaint place made of wood and stone with comfortable seating both indoors and out; free Wi-Fi means that you can brag to your friends that you are sitting in this cool café out in the sunshine enjoying your bit of a sea salt chocolate chip cookie.
They celebrate local talent by showcasing work from artists on their walls. Not only is this fantastic for the ambiance, but the pieces are also for sale and thus support local artists. At the time of writing, they are showcasing a piece by Brock McCormick called “Living Wall” that is a picture frame filled with real plants. It is easy to see why Matching Half saw Keycafe as another great opportunity to give back to the community, helping locals manage their access to them homes and and providing a much needed rest stop for weary travellers checking out the famous Haight Street nearby.
